What to Expect at Your First Visit
Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your consultation
- Your referral slip and any X-rays if applicable.
- Patient Registration Paperwork
- A list of medications you are presently taking.
- If you have medical or dental insurance, bring the necessary completed forms. This will save time and allow us to help you process any claims.
Important notice:
A parent or guardian must accompany all patients under 18 at the consultation visit.
Please alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to surgery (i.e. diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.) or if you are on any medication (i.e. heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.) or require medication prior to dental cleanings (i.e antibiotics, for pre-med.)
X-Rays:
CBCT Imaging
To provide the most accurate diagnosis and treatment planning, all patients will receive a Cone Beam CT (CBCT) scan during their first visit when indicated by the doctor. This allows our team to evaluate your tooth and surrounding structures using the highest-quality images available at the time of your appointment.
For the security and integrity of our imaging system, Desert Sun Endodontics is unable to import or use CBCT scans from outside offices. External imaging files may be incompatible with our software, require unsupported updates, or pose cybersecurity risks to our network. For these reasons, we obtain all necessary CBCT imaging in our office to ensure image quality, system security, and the best possible patient care.
If your referring dentist has taken other types of dental X-rays, they are welcome to forward those records to our office prior to your appointment. Our team will review all available information in conjunction with your in-office CBCT scan when developing your treatment plan.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as this policy helps us maintain a secure system while providing the highest standard of care.
